Early Life and Education:

Tim Cook was born on November 1, 1960, in Mobile, Alabama, United States. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University in 1982 and later pursued an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.


Tim Cook started his career with IBM, where he worked for over a decade, holding various positions in the company’s personal computer division. He then joined Compaq as Vice President of Corporate Materials, where he was responsible for managing the company’s global procurement and supply chain operations.

In 1998, Cook joined Apple as Senior Vice President for Worldwide Operations, where he was responsible for managing the company’s supply chain and manufacturing operations. He played a critical role in streamlining Apple’s supply chain, which helped the company reduce costs and increase efficiency. In 2011, Cook was named Apple’s CEO, succeeding Steve Jobs, who had stepped down due to health reasons.

Under Cook’s leadership, Apple has continued to innovate and expand its business operations. Some of the major milestones achieved by the company under his leadership include the launch of the iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. Cook has also focused on expanding Apple’s business operations beyond hardware devices and into services, such as Apple Music, Apple TV+, and Apple Pay.
